I have just finished reading 2 books that I recommend very highly. Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion and Yes 50 Proven Ways to Be Persuasive. Both by Robert Cialdini. All marketers must learn Influence and Persuasion if they want to make money online. I reveal the Top 6 concepts in this video. Check it out Now.
6 Core Elements of Influence The Psychology of Persuasion
1. Social Proof
People tend to do what the crowd is doing. They figure if most people are all doing the same thing then they should as well.
2. Authority
People make buying decisions more easily when guided or influenced by someone with knowledge or authority in a certain industry. This is why companies use Celebrities as spokespeople.
3. Liking (Know Like Trust)
People will only buy things from people that they Know, Like and Trust. If you want to persuade people to buy from you they need to like and trust you.
4. Reciprocity
People by nature have been trained to reciprocate. If you give something to someone before asking them to buy anything from you they will feel more compelled to buy it now. This is why many marketers give so much Great Free stuff these days.
5. Commitment and Consistency
Stats show that once someone commits to doing something there is a good chance they will follow through. This why you see so many $1 trials showing up everywhere. They know that you will stick around because the deal was check it out for $1 if you like it pay $47 next month.
6. Scarcity
Basic supply and demand theory. “We only have XX amount left and they are selling fast!” People are more motivated by fear of loss than the joy of gain. Scarcity will influence someone to buy rather than “think about it.”
I strongly suggest you get these two books by Robert Cialdini as they will give you a quick education on Influence The Psychology of Persuasion. If you were to just implement and master the six tips that I have outlined in my video you will increase your sales and conversions tremendously.
If you have no influence and if you cannot be persuasive you are just wasting your time online if you are trying to sell anything. People are getting a lot more sophisticated and educated, yet these time honored and proven influence and persuasion techniques have stood the test of time. NLP and hypnosis are also cool to learn but take much more time. Again I suggest you grab these 2 books and learn to have some Influence and persuasion right away.

Keyword Density
April 16, 2009 by admin
Keyword Density
Keyword density is one of the single most important components of a page’s or an articles ability to rank high for given terms in a search engine like Google, MSN or Yahoo. Keyword density is basically is how often a keyword show up on a page in ratio to the overall amount of word on that page or article. While you may think that the more it appears the better, too much of any good thing in life is a bad thing.
Many years ago a great trick to get good rankings was to write your keywords in the same color as your background dozens and dozens of times. (you would use a white font on white background and place the keywords at the bottom of the page so only the search engines would see it). That may have worked years ago. Try that today and you will get a severe backhand pimp slap from Google. They might even DELIST your site completely.
The trick is to probably use it little more often than you are use too in order to get you point across but now so much that it becomes obvious or silly. Search engine programmers are catching on so we have to keep a step ahead. There are few strategic place to use it to get even more bang for your buck though. A quick rule of thumb is to place your keywords in your Title, Headline AND in the first sentence of your article or web page. As the first word like I have done above is the best.
When qualifying keyword density it is usually calculated or referenced as percentage of the total word count on a particular web page or article. So the longer the web page the more times you can list your keywords without seeming ridiculous.
For example lets imagine that you have 100 words on your web page, and you utilize a certain keyword exactly five times within the context of this site. The keyword density for this particular page is calculated by simply taking the total number of word on that page and dividing it by the amount of times your keywords show up on that page. So in this case you would have 100 dived by the five keywords which would give you .05. As you recall keyword density is refered to as a percentage so the keyword density for our example is 5%.
So here it is … 5 divided into 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%
The accepted standard for a keyword density ranges anywhere from between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.
Remember, that this rule applies to every page on your site. It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service. The keyword density should always be between 3% and 5%.
Here are few tips to Anaylyze your density score:
- First just copy and paste the content from your web page and place into a word-processing software program like Word or Open Office Writer.
- Then Go to the ‘Edit’ menu and click on “Select All”. After that move your mouse to the “Tools” menu and select ‘Word Count’. Make a note of the total amount of word that appear on the page.
- Now select the ‘Find’ function on the ‘Edit’ menu. Go to the ‘Replace’ tab and type in the keyword you want to find. ‘Replace’ that word with the same word, so you don’t change the text.
- When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page.
- Simply take the page’s total word count for the article and divide by the amount of times the keyword showed up and you will have your exact density.
Please make sure that you do not try to cram too many unique keywords or phases in the web pages content either. If you attempt to inject too many keywords into the page, then this will just bring down the overall density of the individual keywords. It is imperative that you keep your focus on no more than 2 or 3 keywords/phrases that people would actually type in to a search engine while looking for your subject. A quick rule to write by is to think what you would type into a search box to find your own page and that is it.
The last tip I will share on this topic is that you can also use “anchor text” to get more bang for your buck. Anchor text is when you make the keyword you are focusing on a hyperlink this shows that your site MUST be relevant because it has links to the Exact word that is being searched for.
Joint Ventures – The Ultimate Shortcut

Joint Ventures – The Ultimate Shortcut
Joint Ventures are a must have tool in your arsenal. It is often said that there are no shortcuts in life. While that may be true in essence, there are strategic moves that can be made that will get you from point A to point B a lot faster than traditional methods. Since time is the worlds most precious resource you need to learn and implement these strategies or your business will suffer.
Joint Ventures are simply what the name implies a venture that is worked on jointly (typically by 2 people or 2 businesses). Picture a scenario in which you have two friends or acquaintances that are both marketers. The first “Bob” is great at creating products but he knows very little about marketing and he does not have a list or any affiliates that will sell his products. The second marketer is “Mary”. Mary has a huge list with thousands and thousands of subscribers in her autoresponder. The problem that Mary has is that she doesn’t have any good products to sell to her subscribers.
The answer to both Bob and Mary’s problems is painfully obvious and an easy one to solve. Each one has a strength that the other one lacks. So by joining forces they can create a winning combination. Mary sells Bob’s excellent products to her massive list and then splits the profits with Bob. Thus a Joint Venture or JV was formed. There is no set rate but typically 50% each is standard. (if Bob was more interested in growing HIS contact list then the split can be as high as 100% but that is another article)
The best part about JV’s is that it is a win win for both parties. The people on Mary’s list obviously won as well, since they were exposed to a great new product. By making up for what each other lacks, in a JV both marketers become a complete and successful business instantly.
The only thing better than this type of JV is when you do the same thing but with a recognized authority in your niche. Let’s say that you had an internet marketing product and you got Mike Filsaime or Russell Brunson to do a JV with you. In this case not only would you have a tremendous amount of sales come in but just by mere association you can be thrust into the guru status. I call this the triangle of Trust. Russell’s list trust him, he is in business with you so now his list trusts you as well. This can do incredible sales for you in the future. Your list will explode and soon people may come to you for JV’s. Even better other Big Name people will see your JV with Russell or Mike and want to do the same thing with you.
As more and more people start their own home based businesses on the internet, the market will beginning to get more and more saturated and the competition will grow more fierce by the minute. The quickest, most effective and easiest way to build your own online empire is through joint ventures. That is, join forces with other marketers to sell your product.
Once you have a name or have some proven results people will begin to seek you out in order to Joint Venture with you, promote your products and become your affiliate. Joint Ventures or JV’s are the main reason why you see these big Million Dollar launches taking place. Many promoters with huge lists or even a few high level players can get the word out to millions with a push of a send button. With the right JV partner you don’t have to worry about driving traffic to your sales page using SEO or paid advertisements. Their recommendation to thousands will do that for you.
The online world is getting crowded very quickly. Joint Ventures are becoming more and more import for growing quickly in new markets. So they will be mandatory for anyone who wants to remain in the forefront of their market. A quick way to get many JV partners is to attend seminars and participate in forums. Make sure you exercise caution and follow the proper etiquette when approaching JV partners. Remember they have something You want. So be prepared to be flexible and courteous in your approach. The bigger the partner the more you may have to relinquish in terms of cash, percentage, time frame or leads. Rest assured that if you do your homework it is always MORE than worth it to apply this to any venture.
At a recent live event in Atlanta I was able to secure JV’s with Russell Brunson , Jeff Dedrick , Mike Filsaime ( a joint venture master) and others. Check out our News and Events section and find upcoming events that are going on. Make sure you look for ME there and say Kevin let’s do a Joint Venture.
